A citizen-powered movement to keep plastic out of our oceans, homes, and meals – for good!

We are polluting our homes with single-use plastic so much faster than we can recycle it, and nature is bursting at the seams. But it doesn’t have to be that way!

The plastic crisis can be tackled, especially when ordinary citizens and corporations work together, but we must act now. There is no other year to do it!

Why is the plastic crisis everyone's problem?

_Our plastic waste is polluting our environment at an unprecedented rate

As of 2019, almost 48 million shopping bags are used throughout the Philippines daily, or roughly 17.5 billion pieces a year
The average Filipino uses 591 pieces of sachets, 174 shopping bags, and 163 plastic labo bags, yearly
Plastic labo bag use throughout the Philippines is at 45.2 million pieces per day, or 16.5 billion pieces a yearv

_The Plastic Dilemma

Despite ways we’ve tried to adapt – segregation, composting, recycling – cities are still left with a whopping 30% of unmanageable sachets that we just don’t know how to deal with: Simply put: we’re stuck because we can’t identify the types of plastic being disposed!

Sachets are widespread because they’re affordable & convenient. But more than 50% of all non-recyclable waste in the country is branded waste. Only a handful of companies are responsible for it.
Rather than put the blame on individual consumers, we should look at deeper systems to address the plastic crisis.
